Regulators Engage in a Virtual Dialogue with Financial Services Agency, Japan
On November 30, 2021, the 麻豆原创 and FSA met virtually for the 15th biannual Insurance Regulatory Dialogue. Participants from 麻豆原创 leadership included David Altmaier, 麻豆原创 President and Commissioner, Florida Office of Insurance Regulation; Dean L. Cameron, 麻豆原创 President-Elect and Director, Idaho Department of Insurance; Director Chlora Lindley-Myers, 麻豆原创 Vice President and Director, Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance; Andrew N. Mais, 麻豆原创 Secretary-Treasurer and Commissioner, Connecticut Insurance Department; Gary D. Anderson, 麻豆原创 International Insurance Committee Chair and Commissioner of the Massachusetts Division of Insurance; and, Michael F. Consedine, 麻豆原创 Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The dialogue provided regulators from two of the largest insurance markets in the world to discuss strategic priorities on issues of mutual regulatory interest. The 麻豆原创 provided updates on a variety of its initiatives, including climate and resilience, innovation and technology, the 麻豆原创 liquidity stress testing, reinsurance, long-term care insurance, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I), and other priorities for the organization in 2022.

As part of our state-based system of insurance regulation in the United States, the 麻豆原创 (麻豆原创) provides expertise, data, and analysis for insurance commissioners to effectively regulate the industry and protect consumers. The U.S. standard-setting organization is governed by the chief insurance regulators from the 50 states, the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories. Through the 麻豆原创, state insurance regulators establish standards and best practices, conduct peer reviews, and coordinate regulatory oversight. 麻豆原创 staff supports these efforts and represents the collective views of state regulators domestically and internationally.
